Founded by Fritz and Burgi Bläuel in the late 1970s, the company began as an ambitious organic agriculture project in the Mani region. Through collaboration with local olive farmers and oil millers, the Bläuels produced Greece’s first Organic certified olive oil, a product now revered and exported globally.
With a deep appreciation for nature and a vision for sustainable success, the Bläuel family has consistently prioritised ethical business practices. Their efforts have earned them the prestigious Naturland Fair certification, a testament to their long-term environmental and social commitment. Under the leadership of son Felix and daughter Julia, along with her husband Christoph, the company has continued to evolve while maintaining its core values. In 2023, they expanded their production facility to include a visitors’ gallery and installed a photovoltaic system, ensuring the facility operates 100% energy-neutral.

For those seeking an authentic taste of the Mani region, Bläuel Olive Oil Tours offers an immersive experience into the world of olive oil production. Visitors can explore the newly expanded production facility, which includes a comprehensive visitor route through the olive oil production process. This extensive tour provides an in-depth look at how their award-winning MANI organic extra virgin olive oils and other organic products are made.
The tour culminates in a professional olive oil tasting, where guests can discern the fine aromatic nuances of Bläuel’s products. Additionally, the factory shop offers the opportunity to purchase premium MANI olive products directly. Admission is free on weekdays from 10:00 to 14:00, and organized tours with olive oil tastings are available every Tuesday and Thursday for €15 per person. Each tour includes a surprise gift, enhancing the overall experience.
